서울국제도서전(SIBF)은 1954년 전국도서전시회를 시작으로, 매년 국내 최대 규모의 도서전을 개최합니다. 2021 서울국제도서전 개최를 기념하여 한정판 독서 키트 ‘5 MINUTES COLLECTOR’를 제작하였습니다. 하루에 5분씩 독서를 하며 문장을 수집할 수 있도록 5분 모래 시계, 문장수집노트, 콜렉트북으로 구성했습니다.

Since the first National Book Exhibition in 1954, Seoul International Book Fair (SIBF) has been holding the largest book exhibition in South Korea every year. Celebrating the Seoul International Book Fair in 2021, Mobills group designed a limited edition reading kit called “5 MINUTES COLLECTOR”. The kit includes a sandglass for 5 minutes, one sentence journal and a collect book that helps users record and write up sentences 5 minutes a day.

독자가 모래시계를 뒤집는 순간 독서가 시작됩니다. 책의 흐름을 따라 5분 동안 문장을 따라갈 수 있도록 제작하였고, 모래시계는 5분이 끝나고 몰입을 시작할 수 있도록 돕습니다.

As soon as the sandglass is turned upside down, the reading begins. The sandglass helps the reader to concentrate and get engrossed in the book. 

책을 읽으면서 마음에 남는 문장을 카드에 적고, 5분을 문장으로 모을 수 있습니다. 독서자가 한 페이지를 복사하여 색인 또는 책갈피로 사용할 수 있도록 디자인하였습니다.

The reader can record passages from books. 5 minutes is all you need. The card has been designed to be utilized as an index card or a bookmark by readers.

수집한 문장을 삽입하여 수집서를 작성할 수 있고, 어떤 문장이 영감을 주었는지 한눈에 알 수 있습니다. 5분, 5분, 줄과 줄이 모여서 책을 만듭니다.

The collection of the passages is made into a personal archive. The archive is used as a reference in the future by users. These collections of stories made up of 5 minutes of each day come together to become a new story, a new book.
